Enrolment FAQs

We know that choosing the right school for your family is one of the most significant decisions you will make. These FAQS are provided to help make this process as smooth as possible. Don’t hesitate to reach out if there are any questions that remain unanswered – we are here to partner with you on this exciting journey.

When should we apply?

The earlier you apply, the better! We start our enrolment process for Prep about 18 months before the year of entry. For other year levels, we recommend applying the year before you’d like to start or as soon as you’re considering St Paul’s. Early applications give you the best chance of securing an interview and a place in our St Paul’s family.

Our wait pool considers a variety of factors to ensure we’re building a diverse and vibrant school community. We look at things like sibling connections, children of past students, returning students, scholarship recipients, and students from our Early Learning Centre. The date of application is also a factor, but there’s no strict order. We consider each application individually, looking at how each family will contribute to and benefit from our St Paul’s community.

At St Paul’s, we’re looking for families who are excited to be part of our school community. We value students and parents who embrace our ethos, respect our Codes of Conduct, and are eager to contribute to school life. It’s about finding the right fit – families who will thrive in our supportive, faith-based environment and who are ready to grow and partner with us.

Not at all! We’re proud to be a multi-denominational school that welcomes families from all backgrounds — Christian and non-Christian. What matters to us is a shared commitment to our school values, which are founded in our Lutheran heritage and resonate with people of all faiths and backgrounds.

At St Paul’s, these values come to life through our Free to Flourish framework. We care deeply about growing adventurous, purposeful, compassionate and relational young people who are connected to their community and ready to take on the world.

Christian Studies is a core subject, and students take part in weekly Chapel and other faith-based community events. These are inclusive, values-driven experiences designed to spark reflection, build character, and encourage students to think deeply about the world and their place in it.

By embracing these values, you’ll be joining a diverse, vibrant community that respects difference, encourages personal growth, and celebrates the things that make each student unique. It’s not about what you believe — it’s about the kind of community you want your child to be part of.

Don’t worry — your child’s journey with St Paul’s doesn’t have to end there. If a place isn’t available in Prep, it’s not an automatic rollover, but we’ll be in touch to discuss your options. During our annual wait pool update, you’ll also have the opportunity to request a change to the year level or year of entry. We do our best to accommodate families where we can, and we’ll work with you to explore the next best entry point for your child.

Yes, we do need a separate application for each child in your family. This helps us ensure we have all the necessary information to provide the best possible experience for each of your children.

We are honoured to partner with Grace Lutheran College who also happen to be our immediate neighbours. Together we support families from Kindy to Year 12, offering a Christian education in the Moreton Bay region. Together we offer cross campus siblings discounts, the ability to use the Grace bus services, and walk directly to and from school across our connecting bridge – truly a convenient, caring and Christian connection. It really is that simple! A one stop shop as your littlest person becomes a young adult.

Yes – while St Paul’s and Grace work closely together, we are two separate entities. But don’t hesitate – St Paul’s and Grace are highly sought after and require applications well in advance of the year of commencement. We recommend at least 18 months prior but earlier if possible.

Our main intake year is Prep. This is an exciting transition point in a child’s educational journey, and we love welcoming new faces to our school. But don’t worry, if you’re looking at other year levels – we often have spots open up throughout the school, and we’re always happy to welcome new families when space allows. Every year at St Paul’s is a chance for growth and new beginnings.

We’ve designed our application process to be as straightforward as possible — no tricky hoops to jump through!

To get started, you’ll need to submit a completed online Application for Enrolment form, along with a $100 non-refundable application fee per child. We’ll also ask for a few supporting documents to help us get to know your child, including:

  • A copy of their birth certificate
  • Recent school reports
  • NAPLAN results (or equivalent, if available)
  • Any relevant medical or specialist reports
  • For overseas students, visa documentation and/or an English fluency certificate

It might sound like a lot, but each document helps us understand your child’s unique learning journey so we can support them from day one. If you have any questions along the way, our Enrolments team is here to help!

We believe in transparency when it comes to fees. For our primary students we offer an all-inclusive fee structure. Fees cover everything from stationery to camps, excursions, and more. We try to make things as inclusive as possible to avoid surprise costs throughout the year. For a detailed breakdown, check out our fee schedule on our website. We want you to feel confident about the value of a St Paul’s education.

We’d love to show you around! Our personal tours are a fantastic way to experience St Paul’s in action. You’ll see classes in full swing, meet our staff, and get an authentic feel for our community spirit. Nothing beats seeing St Paul’s for yourself! We can’t wait to welcome you!

We understand that getting to and from school safely is a top priority for parents. We partner closely with Grace Lutheran College and local bus companies to try and ensure maximum coverage for our families. It’s a system that ensures our students can get to school safely and on time, no matter where they’re coming from in Moreton Bay.

Our uniform is a source of pride for our students and families, and we want to make sure getting kitted out is as easy as possible for you. You’ll find everything you need at The School Locker conveniently located in North Lakes. The staff are experts at fitting out new students, so you’ll be in good hands when you visit. The uniform is an important part of the St Paul’s experience, helping our students feel part of our community from day one.
