We provide a wide range of extra-curricular sports experiences that allow students to try new activities, work together, and represent their school with pride. Throughout the year, students in Year 3 to 6 are invited to participate in Gala Days, where they can explore sports such as:
These events are a fantastic way for students to discover new interests, build friendships, and develop a love of physical activity in a fun, inclusive environment.
Each year, our school community comes together for three major sporting events that celebrate participation, perseverance, and team spirit:
Cross Country Carnival
Held in the first half of the year, this event encourages students to challenge themselves in a long-distance run suited to their age group. Everyone is encouraged to take part and do their personal best.
Athletics Carnival
A full day of track and field events where students can showcase their skills in sprints, relays, long jump, shot put, and more. It’s a great opportunity for house spirit to shine!
Swimming Carnival
Open to confident swimmers in Year 3 to 6, this event includes races and novelty events designed to support all ability levels. It’s a highlight of the sporting calendar and a wonderful celebration of water safety and skill.
To ensure that every child can participate and thrive, our younger students take part in junior versions of the major carnivals. These are thoughtfully designed to match their developmental stage-emphasising fun, safety, and skill-building while helping them feel confident and included.
Whether a student is new to sport or already competing at a high level, we aim to support and challenge every individual. Our focus is on participation, sportsmanship, and growth-encouraging students to be active, engaged, and confident.
At St Paul’s, sport is more than just physical activity-it’s about building character, resilience, and belonging. Through our diverse sports program, students experience the joy of movement, the power of teamwork, and the pride of representing their school.
We’d love to show you what makes our school so special. Book a personal tour with our Enrolments Officer and experience the vibrant, nurturing environment of our primary campus firsthand.
