At St Paul’s, we believe the arts have the power to transform – building confidence, sparking creativity and giving every child a voice. Our Arts @ St Paul’s program offers a rich and varied range of opportunities for students to explore music, visual arts and performance from Prep right through to Year 6. Whether your child is a budding musician, a natural performer or simply someone who loves to create, there is a place for them here.
Music is alive at St Paul’s. From the classroom to the concert stage, we offer a wide range of musical experiences that allow every child to discover and grow their unique talents.
Private Instrumental Lessons- Available from Years 2 to 6, students can learn a wide variety of instruments including piano, guitar, flute, strings, percussion and more. Lessons are held during the school day with specialist tutors in individual or small group settings. Places are limited and lessons are fee-based — speak to the office to find out more.
Instrumental Ensemble- Students learning an instrument are warmly invited to join our Instrumental Ensemble, where they build confidence, teamwork and performance skills while making music together. There is something truly special about the moment a group of young musicians find their sound together.
Year 3 Strings Immersion- As part of our curriculum, every Year 3 student takes part in a dedicated strings program, exploring instruments such as violin, guitar and ukulele in a fun, hands-on group setting. It’s a highlight of the St Paul’s experience and a wonderful introduction to the world of strings.
Choirs & Vocal Groups- Our choral program welcomes students of all ages and abilities into dedicated Junior and Senior choirs, where they develop vocal technique, musical expression and a genuine love of performance. Our choirs rehearse regularly and perform throughout the year at a variety of school and community events.
Contemporary Music Groups- For students with a passion for contemporary music, our school rock band is the place to be. Students rehearse, collaborate and bring their musical creativity to life in a fun and energetic setting.
The arts at St Paul’s aren’t just practiced – they’re celebrated. Throughout the year, students have a wonderful variety of opportunities to perform and share their creativity, including concerts, assemblies, chapel services and community events. These experiences do so much more than showcase talent – they build public speaking skills, stage confidence and a deep sense of pride in what your child has worked hard to achieve.
At St Paul’s, the arts are how we celebrate each child’s individuality. Whether your child is on stage, in rehearsal or at the easel, we are committed to helping them grow their gifts, find their voice and shine in their own unique way.
