Welcome to Prep at St Paul's
Starting Prep is one of the biggest moments in your child’s life – and we want it to be everything you’ve hoped for. At St Paul’s, Prep is the beginning of a nurturing, whole-school journey that can carry your child all the way through to Year 12, in partnership with Grace Lutheran College Caboolture. It’s more than just a place to learn – it’s a connected, caring community where staff and parents work side by side to support every child’s growth.
A Space Designed Just for Them
Our purpose-built Prep facility has been thoughtfully designed with early learners in mind. Three vibrant classrooms and a semi-separate outdoor space gently ease children into the rhythms of school life, while keeping them closely connected to the wider St Paul’s community. With small class sizes, every child is truly seen and heard — and each room is supported by both a dedicated Teacher and a Learning Assistant, so no child ever gets lost in the crowd.
Starting the Journey Early - Come and Play
We know that the lead-up to Prep can feel just as big for parents as it does for children! That’s why, in the year before your child begins Prep, we invite them along to our Come and Play sessions. These relaxed, fun visits give your child the chance to explore the Prep environment, meet some friendly faces and start feeling at home at St Paul’s – long before their first official day.
For parents, we host a dedicated Prep Information Night where you’ll have the opportunity to meet the Prep team, learn about what the year ahead looks like and ask all the questions on your mind. It’s a wonderful evening and a great way to feel confident and prepared as a family.
A Rich and Varied Day
From their very first day, Prep students enjoy a full and exciting curriculum. Specialist subjects including Health and Physical Education, The Arts, Music and Japanese are woven into each week, alongside the Read Write Inc. literacy program and Number Talks for numeracy – building strong foundations in ways that are engaging and fun.
A unique Gross Motor Skills program, designed specifically for Prep, supports physical development through active movement, while weekly library visits and Friday Worship sessions round out a balanced and enriching school experience.
